How To Clean Fingerprints Off Wood Doors
20 Aug How to Clean Stained Wood Doors

Here's our recommended method for cleaning stained wood doors.
Step 1
In a spray bottle, place equal quantities of water and vinegar for a homemade cleanser. Spray the mixture on the door frame. Wipe the dirt, dust, and fingerprints from the door frame using a soft cloth. Also be sure to clean the top of the door frame.
Step 2
Clean the door itself with the repetition of step one. Remove all moisture after cleaning the door to prevent it from incurring water damage.
Step 3
If tough stains are present, use a stronger cleaner designed specifically to clean wood, applying it to a sponge cloth, but not the door itself. Scrub away the stains using a sponge or cloth. Wipe the surface clean remove remaining cleaner or dirt. Maintain proper ventilation in the room when working with stronger cleaners.
Step 4
Use basic glass cleaner to clean the windows of your door if you have them. After spraying the glass cleaner on the windows, use even strokes to wipe smooth and avoiding streaks. If the windows are of a certain size, you may prefer to use squeegee for the task. Use soft, clean rag to dry the windows after they have been cleaned.
Step 5
Use a steel or brass polish to clean door hardware. Apply the polish to handles, kick plates, locks, and other hardware with a soft polishing cloth. Wipe the hardware until it is cleaned, then use separate rag to dry, being careful to remove any remaining polish.
